With a strong interesting in math and economics, Hazel studied Mathematics as an undergraduate at the University of California, Irvine, before earning a master’s in business Analytics and Risk Management from Johns Hopkins University.
Over the four-year study, Hazel developed strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, which she integrates into her teaching methods to engage and inspire students in both math and economics. With strong analytical skills, creativity, and a passion for engaging with others, Hazel brings a dynamic and well-rounded perspective to teaching math and economics. 
Outside the classroom, Hazel has a passion for dance. She believes that dance, like mathematics and economics, requires precision, rhythm, and a structured approach—all qualities she brings to her teaching.
